Help Us Replace Our Much-Needed Henry Pet Hoovers!

At Karen's Cat Community, our Henry Hoovers are probably some of the hardest-working members of the rescue team and appear regularly in social media videos lol.

With so many cats in our care, our hoovers are used constantly, day in, day out, keeping their living spaces clean, comfortable and hygienic. But after years of battling cat hair, litter, dust and everything else that comes with running a cat sanctuary, they're finally giving up on us!

One has already died completely, another is becoming unsafe, cutting out, clicking and even sparking, and the others have certainly seen better days. We've maintained them and got as much use out of them as possible, but it's time to replace them.

We're hoping to raise £280 to purchase one brand-new Henry Pet Hoover.

We originally started a Just Giving for our ever increasing vet bill, replacement hoovers, much-needed storage containers, so we can order bulk supplies, etc.

Unfortunately, our vet bills keep increasing. Every time we get a little closer to our fundraising target, another cat needs treatment, another emergency arises, and we're back to chasing our tails!

Rather than continually increasing that target, we've decided to create a smaller, separate fundraiser for something practical that we desperately need.

Our overall goal was to replace all three Henry Pet Hoovers, but we had one very kindly donated. We hope that by breaking things down into smaller, achievable targets, our wonderful supporters can see exactly what their donations are helping us purchase.

We would prefer to buy new rather than second-hand, as hygiene is particularly important in a rescue environment, where we must be mindful of fleas, contamination and lingering odours.

Can you help us raise £280 for two replacement Hoovers?

Whether you can spare £1, £5 or a little more, every donation will bring us closer to purchasing an essential piece of equipment that makes such a difference to our daily work.

And if you happen to know somewhere selling a brand-new Henry Pet Hoover for less, we'd love to hear from you!

Our main fundraiser will continue to run alongside this one, helping us gradually tackle our outstanding veterinary bills and, hopefully, one day get back to a point where we're no longer constantly playing catch-up.

Thank you, as always, for supporting Karen's Cat Community, our sanctuary cats and the everyday work that goes into keeping them safe, happy and cared for.

With love and gratitude,

Karen, Lauren and all the cats at Karen's Cat Community
