I have muscular dystropy. When i was first diagnosed age 31 the doctor said ( you have MD ). Ok so what does that mean ?? Am i a managing director now or is it somtning bad because everyone at the surgery are being very nice to me !!!.

it turns out it was the BAD thing, but then again not so bad.

You see there are many types of muscular dystrophy. I have LGMDT2D, it means that over time my muscles deteriorate so i get weaker and eventualy will be unable to stand let alone walk, mine effects most of my muscles but started around my middle and is working its way around. It has made me weak and given me more issues as i dont have muscles to support joints.. This awful thing effects families as well, physicaly having to help and mentaly dealing with watching your loved ones loose power over there own body.

anyway mine is not so bad... some types are killers, it effects children and adults, different types deteriorate different muscles and it effects many parts. ( Your heart is a muscle ) thats one muscle you need more than most.

So a very good friend of mine, a young fit healthy man has decided to do a skydive to raise money to help this charity. i have known him for a few years and hes a typical young man but one that is willing to spend his own time money and effort to help somthing that effects me.
