Karen Hookes-Jones has had an abstract accepted to share her work in leading the Wrexham midwifery led unit at the International Confederation of Midwives annual congress (ICM) in Bali In June 2020. This is a fantastic opportunity for Karen to network with midwives from all over the world, to share experiences and information that will benefit women, and her colleagues in North Wales. I have attended two of these conferences and have been fortunate both times to receive the support of some funding to attend. In this period of austerity, it is unlikely that Karen will receive any financial support to attend the conference to share her work.

Let's show midwives of the world how proud we are of Karen and the wonderful unit she leads that makes such a difference to women and their families in North Wales. Let's send Karen to the ICM in Bali!
