My names Karen, I work as a nurse practitioner at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Trust, before this I worked as a nurse in A&E for 10 years. In January my lovely mam died. She had cancer but was not supposed to leave me so soon.
She came through A&E with pneumonia, attached to monitor's and looked after by my amazing colleagues.
Since then I have struggled with my mental health, trying to find my new normal. Then this Corona virus hit. Changed everyones life, and again I'm having to get used to a new normal.
I'm going back to work next week not in Urgent care but in A&E, to help fight this awful virus.
So I'm going to raise as much money as I can for either a ventilator if you are feeling generous, or a cardiac monitor for our A&E department.to give something back at this awful time x

some of you may know I love my hair and varying colours so a big deal for me, but whilst the hairdressers are closed!!!! DATE TO BE ARRANGED as have to find a willing barber at work lol x
