I've raised £20000 to Tackle poverty and support our local foodbanks to feed people in need

My name is Ryan and over the last seven months I have been collecting empty drink cans to raise money for foodbanks.
From the 2nd of July to the 27 of August I will walk every week as much as I can to raise money for a truck of food.
The idea of organising a walk to raise a truck of food came out of discussing with the many people who donate their cans. I realised that, in order to have a bigger impact and supply more food, I need to be able to buy food cheaper. This means I no longer need to buy at supermarket price but at wholesale or bulk distributor price. This of course means buying a lot more food to access the lower price which will require more money than I can currently raise with the cans alone. The price ratio is about one to ten so it really makes sense to try and go down that route. Instead of spending £1 for your kilo of rice, you could get 10 kilos for the same price. This is how the idea of raising enough money to buy a full truck of food came along. This idea would be to make it available for Christmas and help everyone have a great festive period.
The aim is to raise £20,000. I realize how ambitious the target is but actually if every 200,000 inhabitants of Solihull gave only 10p, this would get us there; so I really want to be believe this can be done.
Please come and join me if you can. Give a follow and help me to fundraise as much as We Can. Altogether we can make a difference.
