    Story

You know its so easy for a man to become a ‘dad’ but its os extremely hard for a man to become a ‘Father’. It feels like it was only yesterday when I was a little toddler sitting on your shoulder and you, mummy, jerry and I were walking down church street… My father “gave me life” and he could have stoped there but he made it his mission to love me unconditionally. Daddy, to the world and societies standards was deemed as not being a rich man, but one thing everyone loved about him is that what understood and preached is that a truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty. He showed us as well as everyone he met around him a type of love that is very rare to find in this world.

Daddy was diagnosed with cancer roughly 2 years ago, he made the choice to tell us (his kids), despite this being said he made the choice not to tell any one else in his family or any of his friends. A decision that was hard to make, but nevertheless, he made it due to the fact that he didn't want people to worry about what he going through, or his health. When his health visibly started to deteriorate he didn't make a big fuss about it…he continued living his life as normal. He was still helping other people with their issues despite him constantly being in pain. And this another thing I will always remember about my father, he was a self-less man and made sure he attended other peoples needs before his own and made sure other people were happy and always smiling even if he was sad.

Daddy went through years of stress, due to his health going up and down despite this he tried his best to be really strong for me and my mother and my siblings, because he didn't want us to experience a world with him not in it. This is one of the many things about him that I will always appreciate.

He was my best friend, he cared about all of us (his kids and our mother)so much and he was always willing to do anything to ensure our safety and happiness...we always felt safe when he was still alive. He made sure that we enjoyed our lives to the fullest extent.

I could go on to possibly write the best selling novel explaining as to why daddy was the best man on this earth but it still wouldn’t be enough words said to describe just how important he was as my father, a husband, a friend and a human, and how much of a powerful influence he was and will continue to be for the rest of my life. I will always keep my eyes on you so you can give me your view of the world around me. I will always ask you new sight to see the world through your eyes so I can become the woman I long to be… a reflection of you to my family and my friends.

Dad its true when I say I have grown up to be a good kid, but thats only because behind me there was always a great dad.

In the future I may love a man a lot and someday ill marry him but in the end let me remind you that no matter what happens ill love you and you’ll always be the best man I have met and he will never take your place. Daddy I promise that I will always be you little girl.

    I love daddy, and RIP
