Our 26 years old brother was recently diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis (form of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, also known as IBD). It is a long-term condition, where the colon and rectum become inflamed. The colon is the large intestine (bowel), and the rectum is the end of the bowel where stools are stored. Small ulcers can develop on the colon's lining, and can bleed and produce pus. However, there is an evidence that it could be healed with diet under specialised doctors.
He is currently in the hospital on medications (antibiotics and steroids) which are not curing him but making the pain just about bearable. He has been told, he will need to be on medications and observation for the rest of his life. The doctor also said that he may need to be operated, meaning, his large intestine would be removed from his body. We would not want this for anyone, especially our brother. We have decided that we need to help him ASAP and contact a specialist who could help him heal naturally.
However, as it is classified as an alternative medicine, it is quite expensive treatment. The fact that he is off work means that we have to support him with bills (sick pay is only £86 p/w) and when he gets home we will also have to support him with buying food.
We will do whatever it takes to help him, however we could really use your help. Any donations would mean the world to us and we would truly appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.
