Kate's Message

Hi! I am volunteering through Camps International to work on projects in a community in Uganda that will help improve the lives of the people there. I will be taking part in this expedition in summer 2019. This trip will really push me out side of my comfort zone! I will be living away from all my comforts and working hard to improve the lives of others.

This opportunity will give me the chance to understand how different the lifestyle is in Uganda compared to my own in the UK while making a difference to others.

I will have to face many challenges as part of this experience. One of the most important will be the community project where I will work alongside a local community, helping to build schools, provide water supplies or other project work that will contribute something meaningful back to a local area.

The community project will be based in rural area, where I will live and interact with local people and immersed in daily life and traditions. This will give me such a fantastic cultural experience.

To be able to take part in this once in a lifetime opportunity, I need to raise funds for the trip and the equipment that I will need there. So it would mean a lot to me if you were able to support me in raising this £2000+ . Thank you very much and your donations will be greatly appreciated.
