My name is Sandra Munford.

My 21 year old daughter Kate, was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour in April 2016. She underwent 2 major surgeries to remove 80% of the tumour, followed by a 12 week course of radiotherapy and a year of chemotherapy.

The tumour started to grow once again by April 2017 and Kate was put on further chemotherapy for another year. After 3 months it was obvious it wasn’t working so I began paying for a private prescription of a cannabis based drug called Sativex. Costing £450 every 2 months.

By January of this year we were told that the tumour has grown considerably and now on a part of Kates brain that is the control centre. My vivacious , happy , kind daughter has now slipped into such a decline that she is completely numb down her right side. She is unable to walk , talk or in fact do anything for herself.

We have been told to expect the worst case scenario imaginable but both myself and my other daughter refuse to accept this and are determined to do anything that will help our wonderful girl.

Having read up on Cannabis Oil , all pros and cons and examples of success stories from all over the world I have now decided that this is our only hope to help Kate.

This oil costs £1200 per month. Not affordable long term. I am no longer working as I’m caring for Kate so using savings to pay for the oil so far.

I have investigated borrowing money towards my home but banks will not grant loans for medical reasons. Only for home improvements etc are loans or remortgages considered.

As a mother I’m sure you can understand that I will do anything to save my child’s life and if it comes to selling our home to fund this treatment I will do so. I’m asking for your help and help my wonderful girl get better and be given the chance she deserves to live.

She’s only 21 years old. She’s only just started.
