    Story

Hi! Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this! We are both very excited about out first short-term mission trip to Equador, with Samaritan’s Purse, along with others from our church. Our orginal destination of Nicaragua to help with water projects has recently had to change. Sadly this is due to the voilence and troubles there at the moment. Our hearts go out to the people there ! We are really grateful to now have the opportunity to work with Pan de Vida (Bread of life) who are doing incredible work in the city of Quito, in Equador, caring for families living below the extreme poverty line and bringing them hope and love. We will be joining them as they engage in activities such as working alongside homeowners, to make more space for their family, playing games and doing crafts with kids, or cooking and serving a meal for the wonderful families who visit the feeding program.

Within the population of Quito, Equador, a wide disparity can be found between the rich and poor, and in recent years, high unemployment rates have affected the city. Many communities along the coast of Ecuador have still not recovered from a 7.8 magnitude earthquake in 2016. It will be a real provilege for us to work on some of the projects Pan de Vida are involved in, serving the people there who’se daily lives are affected by extreme poverty.

I am writing to see if you would consider partnering with us. We would love it if you would pray for us and the team as we prepare to go in mid-November. We would also really appreciate any financial support you would be willing to grant us, as the financial goal is significant. This will go towards flights, travel, accommodation and some necessary supplies for the community. If you have any questions or would like to talk further about our trip please contact us directly. Thank you so much!
