I've raised £100 to support Kate as she heads to a Ugandan slum to make a difference in the lives of some of the neediest children on earth!

In August 2018 I am off to Soroti in Uganda to help out with a project run by International Children's Charity Global Care (www.globalcare.org.uk). Global Care is celebrating 35 years in Uganda by hosting a large event and by running activities for local children at two primary schools and beyond. As well as tasks such as painting and tidying the Global Care community HQ, I will also help to run activity sessions with primary-aged children. Activities will include crafts, sports, parachute games and drama, and we are expecting hundreds of kids from this disadvantaged region to attend.
If you're the praying type, I would also appreciate you dropping a message to the big man – Uganda is no luxury resort and I will be exposed to unsanitary conditions and fairly unsafe environments daily! For twelve days I will be without my husband, hamster and home comforts as I work to impact the lives of some of the world's neediest children, and although I'm sure it'll be an incredible experience, it is also likely to be tough, emotionally draining and physically exhausting! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page and I look forward to sharing stories and photos with you when I return.
Much love,
Kate
