The British Red Cross is part of the DEC Ukraine Appeal - Disasters Emergency committee.

Ukraine is in crisis. It's a tense, dangerous and distressing time. Ongoing violence is causing people to flee their homes and become separated from their families.

We must act now to protect people caught up in this crisis, in Ukraine and its bordering countries.

Kate Malone has chosen to raise money for The British Red Cross as part of The Great Charity Pot and Print Fair this year by donating one of her beautiful wall pineapples as 1st prize and an original fine art Giclée print as 2nd prize.

1st Prize - This stone where crystalline glazed pineapple is designed to hang on the wall. It can be inside or outside. A beautiful fruit, a symbol of rejoicing, to hang on the wall to welcome friendship and symbolise hospitality. The art barge is that very thing, hospitable and friendly it will be a place for all people to enjoy art. Hooray for clay and hooray for creativity - And hooray for this great endeavour to help raise money for local charities.

2nd Prize - This is a fine art print on giclée paper, it is a limited edition and has a certificate. The image is a pot, with small pots cuddling its surface. All of us use vessels every day and they are the very heart of our domestic life. The original artwork was a paper cut out, it will arrive in its own folio box. Come on everybody support our local charities and please do donate to have a chance to have this arrive in your post.
