As you are all aware our Sister Kate has been diagnosed with a blood cancer called Stage 2 Hodgkin Lymphoma , and last week in her own words whilst having her first chemo treatment, she said, "Let the battle commence."
Kate will battle through 6 months of very intense chemotherapy and will need a lot of rest and care at home. When somebody you love and care about is going through something that is a life changer, all you want to do is support and help her. Kate is a fighter, yet she is one of the most caring, loving, and independent characters you will ever know. She never complains or ask for help and never will. To stop feeling so helpless and give her support we have set up a crowdfunding appeal. For the first time in Kate's life she needs all our help.
Kate will only receive 8 weeks full pay and considering she has a mortgage and has never had a handout in her life things are going to get very tough financially, this is on top of the battle she faces. After her 6 months of chemo she will need 2 months recovery and we don't want her to have to worry about her finances. All we want for her is to fight her battle and succeed.
I believe with all our help and support we will help her win.
