I am a dental hygienist raising funds to support a trip I will make to Uganda as part of the Dentaid team delivering dentistry and training to rural communities there. If I raise enough I intend to return year on year.

We are lucky to live in a part of the world where emergency dentistry is accessible to all and oral health education and tools (brushes and toothpaste) readily and cheaply available. This is not always the case - Uganda is just one of the areas targeted by Dentaid where education is poor, and people travel for miles and for days in the pursuit of dental aid

My aim is to initially finance one trip (or even more) unpaid to Uganda and offer my skills and time to alleviate pain and educate native health workers, so that we can....
