Story

Those that have known me forever may need to sit down.

I'm going to run 10k.

In my duel quest to live longer and help raise money for new play equipment for the village I thought this would be the perfect challenge.

I have managed to get through to week 7 of the couch25k programme with lots of moral support and encouragement from family, friends and work colleagues.

Myself and a couple of running buddies have registered for the 5k trick or treat at trentham gardens on the 31st October. this will be the first milestone.

Then at the end of Feb there will be a 10k community run in Colton raising money for the playground.

So it would be great if you would help support me by donating some dosh and giving me lots of encouragement.

I thought I'd get in early with the fundraising ... I'll be doing some updates along the way and I'm sure your money will be the carrot I will need on the hard days.

Three weeks out of training due to suspected hernia which was not. Today was the first day back to it. I was nervous but got back into it okay. I've proved to myself that I can set the restart button and survive. I had a couple of little walking tests but did 13 minutes straight at the end. Only four weeks until my first 5k race so please support. X
