Story
I am doing a virtual cycle challenge: On my stationary bike, I am cycling 371 miles from Bristol to Edinburgh over the course of 6 months. I am doing this to raise money for two charities: Crohn’s & Colitis UK and IBS Network.
My mission progress can be vieweed here: http://www.myvirtualmission.com/missions/14463/virtual-cycle-from-home-in-bristol-to-family-home-in-edinburgh
Crohns and Colitis UK - www.crohnsandcolitis.org.uk
Crohns and Colitis UK is the UK’s leading charity in the battle against Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, and other forms of Irritable Bowel Disease (IBD), with 29,000 members across the UK.
They work to make life better for the 300,000 people in the UK with IDB, a largely a hidden and, often debilitating, disease, and one that causes stigma, fear and isolation – it’s thought that many people with the condition go undiagnosed and suffer in silence. It doesn’t have to be like this.
Your sponsorship money will help Crohns and Colitis UK to:
• provide essential services to people with IBD
• inform and influence decision about the needs of people with IDB
• develop local services for those with IDB
• improve existing treatments and services and discover new ones by taking part in research
The IBS Network - www.theibsnetwork.org
The IBS Network has been helping people with IBS for 25 years. They work hard to provide resources and advice to IBS sufferers and have developed a fully comprehensive IBS Self Care Plan for IBS sufferers. They help put those with IBS in touch with IBS support groups across the UK, provide advice and information about treatments, diet control and managing IBS through managing stress and anxiety, all of which empowers IBS sufferers in the UK to manage their own care and condition.
Your sponsorship money will help the IBS Network to continue to support the 12 million people in the UK affected by IBS.

8 years agoThank you everyone for all your lovely donations. With the £135 donated here so far and the £50 that people have donated to me straight into my PayPal I have so far raised £185. I still have a couple of months of cycling to go so I am hopeful that I will reach my £300 target. .
