Weʼve raised £804 to deliver frontline projects which raise awareness and prevent the sexual exploitation of women and young people, through the charity Yada.

    Story

Having worked for Yada for just over a year, I have seen first hand the difference our outreach workers make to each individual woman we have had the privilege to work with. I want to raise money through something that will challenge me, and with your encouragement, could be achievable! To that end, I am training up to run a half-marathon at the end of May 2022, the first time I will have run such a distance. I am hoping to raise £1000 to go towards all Yada does as a charity supporting women across coastal West Sussex

Most recently, we have found affordable accommodation for one of the women we support, and we were able to furnish, provide bed linen, towels, toiletries and household essentials due to generous donations. I want to raise funds to enable us to replicate this for other women we support, and much more.

Yada's vision is to see a world with no place for sexual exploitation, where women can live a life free from abuse, stigma and violence. By giving women a secure and stable base, through our one-to one support, we see them flourish into freedom and independence.

One of our service users recently said: ''You have opened the door to freedom, I feel like I can fly.''

Just a few days to go. I will be travelling up to Edinburgh to cheer Chris on. I will attach a picture on the big day. Again, huge thanks to all who have supported us to date. It’s not too late, so please feel free to give. Every amount makes a difference. Thank you!
