Story

In the early hours of 31st December 2021 my dad took seriously ill. While we waited for the ambulance to come we were advised to get the nearest Public Access Defibrillator. We didn’t know where this was and have since found out it is too far away from Bonnybank for someone to get in an emergency if they have no access to a car, even then it is probably too far away. I have decided to raise money to provide a Public Access Defibrallator for the Bonnybank/Baintown communities. The Bonnybank Inn have kindly agreed for this to be located on the outside of their building. I will be purchasing the defibrillator through East Neuk First Responders. Now I have the location and supply organised I can start the fundraiser. On a positive note my dad recovered but in the event of any further medical emergencies in the Bonnybank area, a defibrillator will hopefully allow families the best outcome for their loved ones. I‘d appreciate any donations however big or small to reach the target required to fund this and thank everyone in advance who kindly decides to donate. Some good advice for everyone in the future is to know the location of your nearest Public Access Defibrillator.
