Story
People that know me, know i cry at the drop of a hat! So of course writing this, (which is one of the hardest things i will ever write!) the tears are flowing! Which is absolutely no use to anyone! The one thing i can do is run. I am dedicating all my training, gym sessions and races leading up to the Rock n roll marathon in Liverpool in May to my beautiful, courageous sister in law Susan Szumowski.
Susan has terminal cancer and although its not imminent, we don't know how long she has left. My initial reason for crowdfunding was to give her a positive boost and give her a chance to go to Graceland, as she has been a life long Elvis fan, but alas she is too weak to make that long journey!
The money i raise will go towards Susan and her family to help towards any expenses and arrangements that need to be made.

6 years agoThe second 10k race of the year done. I wanted to better my time that I managed two weeks ago and I did! 1:00:34 was the official time.....getting fitter and faster! Thank you to everyone who has donated, i can't believe it's over £1000. Thank you all so much x

6 years agoMy first 10k of the year done in 1:05. I'm very happy with that time as I've had a slight niggle in my calf muscle all week. With a strapped up leg (that didn't hurt at all) I ran the 3 laps of Greenwich Park and its very steep hill without too much trouble...things can only get better! Second 10k in a fortnight time! Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. I am so grateful....you are amazing! #runforsusan

I am a 47 year old, mother of 3. I have only been running for 4 years, before that I couldn't even run for the bus! I now got the bug! I have ran a few 10k races and 3 half marathons, one of them being The Great North Run and I finished the Richmond marathon last year.
