Story
Ok so Sharon and Myself are walking Edinbrughs Kiltwalks mighty stride. Thats 26 miles !! across Edinbrugh on Sept the 20th (we have high hopes to finish but both have the fear for this one I think lol)
We will be raising money for the renal dialysis unit at Inverclyde hospital, the money can be used to fund patient outings or equipment..
For patients who are on dialysis it's a life long commitment until they receive a transplant. Strong supportive friendships are formed and the trips encourage these and allow the less mobile a day out. Equipment like TVs help the patients pass the time, clinical equipment like the special dialysis chairs can also need replaced and funds can help with that
This is my 4th and final walk of the year by the end i will have walked just over 100 miles with the kiltwalks in aid of my amazing patients!!
