Story
Hello our amazing team of nurses and healthcare assistants will be hiking up Scafell Pike, Englands highest mountain in May 2019.
(Distance: 12km / 7 milesAscent: 960m / 3200ftDuration: 7 hours)
WHY I hear I hear you ask?!?
All funds raised will go towards Becket ward at Northampton General Hospital.
Becket ward is a 26 bedded, acute respiratory medical ward. Working in exceptionally challenging circumstances, we give everything to go above and beyond for our patients.
Having the added facility of level one beds, we treat some of the most acutely unwell patients in the hospital. Supporting patients with conditions such a respiratory failure, pneumonia, asthma, pleural effusions, pulmonary fibrosis and many more.
We work tirelessly under pressure to meet the highest of standards, and will never give less, as we feel our patients deserve the best.
Alongside our hectic 12.5hr shifts of long days and nights, a group of nurses and healthcare services assistants have come together through the "Shared Decision Making" process. Here we discuss ideas and changes to improve our services and care. Staff from the frontline making changes on the frontline to exceed the expectations of care for our patients and improve working conditions.
Our "Shared Decision Making" team have decided to try and raise 500 pounds for our ward
#Challenge500
Please sponsor when able and wish us luck!!!!!
