I'm raising £2000 to WINGWALK to help Middleton Park Equestrian Centre for the Disabled. For my 70ieth Bday. DONE IT 21 June please donate if you can

I have always been quite active and adventurous, living abroad, skydiving, scuba- diving and occasional riding … until the arthritis. 2013 - 2021 living with severe arthritis made me settle for a very limited lifestyle , as I had no choice. I had done some occasional riding but at 67 years young, I knew my greatest regret in life was not doing enough …
in 2021 I had my first hip replacement and woohhoooo! I wanted to climb Kilimanjaro but went to MPEC instead, thinking they might just laugh at me but NO they got me on a horse, without a hoist but using the ramp and I was riding again! Not competently or elegantly, but compensating with enthusiasm and persistence ;) I THINK.
2023 second hip replacement and 2024 69 years young and doing a WINGWALK to help MPEC because they DESERVE it. Working as a volunteer one day a week I have seen how much they do for the disabled children and adults, as well as for able-bodied riders. Some of the young riders just come alive when they get on a horse and it is a joy and privilege to see and be part of It all. I think I now have earned a GNVQ in tack cleaning as well … You can put it in the post Anna lol
there WILL be a video of my wingwalk
I dedicate this WW to Sally Jefferys, may she always fly high.. she will be with me on that wing, shouting in my ear ‘you're crazy, you’ :) and SHUT UP AND GET ON WITH IT!
I give my eternal heartfelt thanks to my lovely surgeon, Mr Patko, for enabling me to see the world from between a horse’s ears again and for deftly dodging 2 tattoos :D
and eternal heartfelt thanks to MPEC, especially Roseanne, who has put up with my staggering lack of spatial awareness for nearly 2 years now. Chocolate just isn’t enough ;) and to all the lovely horses.
