    Story

Hello. This September I'm undertaking an elective nursing placement as part of my 3rd year nursing degree, in Tanzania. I'll be spending 3 weeks in A&E in Arusha and a week in a Maasai community at a clinic in Engaruka. Tanzania is one of the poorest countries in the word with a average life expectancy of 64 years and healthcare is very poorly funded. I'm taking some basic medical equipment and textbooks to leave when I return and am seeking funding for these. In addition half of funds raised will be donated to Medicine Sans Frontier and Books for Africa.
I'll be blogging my experience too, details to follow. Thank you for reading.

I'm planning various fundraising events and completed the Cardiff 5K in May and have just been daft enough to walk up Pen-y-Fan in a Cookie Monster onsie :-). Due to placement shifts 4 other planned 5Ks won't take place till I return in October, but will update details here.
