Alfie’s 2,800 Kick-Ups for Children’s Mental Health
Hi, I’m Alfie, I’m 10 years old, and this February I’m doing something that really matters to me.
I’m taking on the challenge of doing 100 kick ups every single day throughout the whole month, that’s 2,800 kick ups in total to raise money for children’s mental health, especially boys who struggle in silence.
I might only be 10, but even at my age I’ve seen how hard things can feel for boys. Lots of us find it difficult to talk, and some kids hide how they feel because they’re scared of being laughed at or told to “be strong.” I want to change that. I want every boy to know that feeling sad, worried, or overwhelmed doesn’t make you weak it makes you human.
Football is something that helps me when I’m having a tough day. It clears my head and makes me feel better. So, I wanted to do something using the thing I love, to help other children who might not know where to turn.
Every donation big or small will help support boys’ mental health across schools and community groups in the North East, give them somewhere safe to talk, and remind them they’re not alone.
I know 2,800 kick ups is a big challenge… but the brave kids facing tough days are doing something much harder. I’m doing this for them.
If you can donate, share, or even cheer me on, it would mean the world.
Thank you for helping me make a difference. 💙
