Run for Mikey.

Mikey was a scruffy lurcher pup who was rescued by Accolade Hounds Greyhound & Lurcher Rescue. He had been badly mistreated so needed life saving veterinary care. Unfortunately, due to his terrible injuries, Mikey didn't make it to find his forever home, but Accolade Hounds still paid a huge vet bill. This means that funds are very low at the charity at the moment, and they need these crucial funds to help carry on with the amazing rescue work that they do finding caring homes for greyhounds and lurchers that have not had the best start in life.

I am taking part in Run Bedford 10k on Sunday 17th June 2018 to raise money so that Accolade Hounds can continue with the fantastic work that they do for these amazing dogs. I would like to think that I will be zooming gracefully like a lurcher, but it will be more in the style of a shuffling bulldog as this is the first serious road race that I have ever done so a bit scary, but I am determined to keep going to raise money for the hounds!!
