Essex Boy's and Girl's Club and I will be travelling to Barpak, Nepal in August 2017 for nearly 3 weeks if we are successful with our fundraising. Barpak was devastated by an earthquake in April 2015. Nearly 2 years have passed and this village still needs help and support in rebuilding and repairing the buildings that were destroyed (only 10/1200 houses survived). We plan on spending the majority of the time at a school in Barpak, teaching and playing with the children. It would mean so much to me if you would help me fund this cause, no matter how big or small the donation is, as every penny counts! Every person who is going on the trip has to raise £2500 each, whilst this seems daunting, I plan on meeting this target, if not exceeding it. The first few days will be spent exploring the city of Kathmandu, then we will embark on the 5 day trek to Barpak. When we arrive in Barpak we will spend a few days with the local community to help and have fun with them. In the final days of our trip we will trek back down the mountains to try out white water rafting, spend the last couple of days in Kathmandu and then return home. I would be so grateful for all of your support in this, and look forward to going on an amazing adventure in the coming year.
