On Sunday 26th May I will be running the Edinburgh half marathon for Lilys Legacy, a charity in memory Lily Douglas, who lost her life to Ewings Sarcoma, a rare type of bone cancer at the age of 14 on the 23rd of January 2022.

Lily’s mum Jane has set up Lilys Legacy with the intention of building a retreat somewhere in Scotland, to provide free respite for families with children whilst going through treatment, or for parents and families who have tragically lost a child. The respite house will not only be for families who have lost a child to this awful disease, but is for any family that has lost a child for any reason.
