Weʼve raised £290 to help fund Sandy Bear children's bereavement charity.

    Story

When my brother-in-law passed away in 2013, my nieces were referred to Sandy Bear children's bereavement service. The service helped them to cope with their loss at such a young age. Sadly the service was decommissioned in 2016, but last year Sandy Bear made an announcement that it would become a charity.
I am attempting to run the Wales half marathon, part of the Tenby Longcourse Weekend, on 15th July 2018 to raise funds for the charity.
Any donations, large or small, is a massive help to this worthwhile cause.

As my final push for more money, I thought I’d share a picture of me after the half marathon with my two beautiful nieces. Sandy Bear helped these two young ladies to deal with the loss of their father when they were too young to understand. As a family we tried to help them, but we didn’t have the knowledge or experience that Sandy Bear does. And, like most children, they were more open with non family members so they didn’t upset us. Please donate whatever you can afford to this wonderful charity. Xxx

2 hours and 46 minutes was my time yesterday. I’m so happy to have finished under 3 hours considering the heat and the hills! Thank you to everyone who has donated, my page will stay active until this Saturday (21st July) then I will add it all up and let you all know the grand total going to Sandy Bear. X

Thank you to everyone who has donated. Because of your generosity the target I set has been passed! That doesn’t mean I don’t want more money. Call me greedy, but Sandy Bear really does deserve it. It’s such a brilliant charity doing very important work helping children who are dealing with bereavement. I’m so glad I decided to raise money for them, and hopefully introduce the charity to people who weren’t aware of it. Less than a week to go!!! Eeeek!
