Story

A soup and pudding lunch is being held in the Clan McQuarrie Hall on 14 July 2018 between 12noon - 2pm to raise funds to support the Matheson family. This page is being set up for anyone who cannot attend but would like to donate. Below is a little story about Katie.

On 9 May Kenneth and Marina were given the devastating news that their 2 year old daughter Katie has Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia. She is currently being treated at the Glasgow Royal Hospital for Children which means they have had to move to Glasgow from their home in Shader on the Isle of Lewis leaving their other young daughter Isla in the care of family. This form of Leukaemia is extremely uncommon in young children like Katie and she is having to be closely monitored by the consultants until they can stabilise her medication enough to get home. Once home they will need to make regular trips to Glasgow for various testing and monitoring.

This is an extremely hard time for them and having to uproot to Glasgow has been very costly both emotionally and financially. We are doing all we can to help them at this very hard time.
