Our Nan Margaret Pounds passed away on the 30th of May 2018 from a short battle with cancer at St Josephs hospice in london. At 85 years old She fought so hard after having a broken thigh bone and surviving an Op no nurse thought she would survive. We would like to give our Nan a funeral she deserves but are struggling to find funds. Her 2 daughters Susan and Sharon have been visiting funeral directors for quotes and to see if they can get a payment plan. For a very basic funeral the costs are still around £4500. . At the moment we are selling furniture and personal belongings to try and raise money towards it. £3000 is alot of money to ask but we only have a short period of time to find it which is why i thought i would try this. Our Nan worked hard all her life and was the person who gave her last fiver to someone who she felt needed it more. Never believed in life insurance as it was tempting fate. She was funny and stubborn and lived a lovely life She deserves a good final journey. Thank you.
