    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

As you may of seen my family are going through an extremely difficult time, my beautiful mum Maddie Pettigrew was admitted to hospital on 09/06/18. The last 24 hours have been crucial, with us being told her chances were slim of survival. She fought through and showed us all she could do it. My mum has been diagnosed with a Aneurysm (bleed on the brain) Early hours this morning she undergone surgery at Coventry University Hospital to drain some of the blood and fluid from her brain which meant it relieved pressure. We are now at Birmingham Queen Elizabeth Hospital where another major operation will take place, this procedure carries risks if its own. To stop the bleeding on the brain, the surgeons will go through her groin to the main archery which leads to her brain to therefore stem the bleeding. As you can imagine its all new to us and alot of the time we are just waiting. My dad is lost, out of his debth knowing his soul mate is lying there helpless. There is nothing he can do to help other than leave her life in the doctors hands and have him there by her side throughout.

This is a huge ask but many people who know my mum and dad would understand that they would never ask anyone for help financially. They have both worked continuously through the years and now with this sad time, my dad will struggle financially paying bills and travel costs to and from hospitals. My dad is terrified he will not be able to manage and be there for my mum as will have to work more to make ends meet.

Thankyou for your ongoing support and messages...

    Kind regards
    Katie Pettigrew

Sorry to hear what you and your family are going through. It really touched me as I went through similar procedures about two years ago. I pulled through, and I really hope your mum does too. xx
