I've raised £4500 to support the Luna Foundation by running the West Highland Way!

Hey! We're friends Meg & Katie and we'll be running the West Highland Way in Scotland in the last week of August. We'll be running 100 miles, with 3,000 metres elevation gain, over just a few days. We're expecting sore limbs, burnt shoulders and midge bites!
People keep asking why on earth we'd spend our holiday doing this!? It's a very good question, and with only five weeks to go, we've been asking ourselves the same thing...
What's keeping us motivated is the prospect of raising some money, with your help, for an important cause close to our hearts. We'll be running as a tribute to the ones we've loved and lost.
We'll be raising money for Luna - a social enterprise dedicated to improving the support for children after a parent dies by suicide. It was named 'Luna' because its aim is to bring light to the darkness.
Luna offers evidence-informed suicide bereavement training for people who work with children and young people to create a web of support if a parent or primary caregiver takes their own life. They also share resources, best practice and guidance to help improve the way children left behind after suicide are cared for.
Children and young people's access to care should not depend on their social, demographic or financial means, and each of us has a role in creating safe spaces where mental health and suicide bereavement can be talked about.
We're really grateful for your support - whether by donations or just words of encouragement.
With lots of love,
Meg & Katie xx
