I've raised £1750 to support the Laksh Foundation and Warwick in Africa

This summer, I will be travelling to Ghana and India to teach maths with Warwick in Africa and the Laksh Foundation respectively. Warwick in Africa is an amazing programme that sends students from the University of Warwick to teach maths and english in schools in Ghana, Tanzania and South Africa. They also offer training for teachers in these countries, in order to step away from wrote learning and create a more engaging environment for students. The Laksh foundation is an incredible cooperative in rural India that endeavours to provide extra-curricular schooling to local villages in which the government schools are lacking, whilst also providing safe jobs for local women and running an organic farm. I have been given the opportunity to spend 4 weeks with both of these wonderful organisations in order to offer creative learning opportunities and enrich the education of students. The money I raise will go directly to these organisations to ensure they continue to better the educations of students, opening doors to a brighter future.
