Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
So as many of you may or may not know, this year my mum is turning 50, the big five-O, and to celebrate her getting to this age with her hips still in tact, we're going to have a party and see how good her dance moves are!!
Mum has been saying for years that she wants a 50th birthday party so I'd like to throw her a big party with all the people she loves around her!
As a student, I unfortunately can't afford this by myself as much as I'd love to!
Here's where you come in! Instead of getting her a gift or doing a collection for gifts and flowers and what not, I'd like to ask if you would donate some money to help me pay for the party!
There'll be a buffet, there'll be a DJ and a dance floor, and most importantly there'll be a bar!
Please give as much as you think is appropriate, suggested donation of £5 per person but anyone wanting to give a bit more can have a say in what's in the buffet...
Thanks all, you're all invited!!
