I've raised £230 to Help to fund Eady's journey

Eady is a five year old little girl from Somerset who was born with Rett Syndrome. People with Rett syndrome have profound and multiple physical and learning disabilities and are totally reliant on others for support throughout their lives. There are substantial communication and mobility issues for people with Rett syndrome. Most will not speak and, by adulthood, only 50% will walk. Epilepsy, loss of hand use, chronic spinal curvature and breathing and feeding difficulties are also common features. However, we are increasingly aware of people with Rett syndrome living into their 50s and beyond.
What all this means for Eady has failed to reach milestones in all areas of development. Currently Eady is working on sitting unaided, developing her communication (Eady cannot use her hands at all so we can't teach her sign language so rely on pictures) and helping her increase her attention span so she can begin to learn about the world. But it's a slow and pain stacking journey one which can be helped with better therapy and equipment. Better that can be supplied by the NHS.
Recently Eady has been benefitting from equestrian therapy (riding horses). She has found a connection with these fabulous creatures and her sessions have been of enormous benefit. Her sessions are £23 each time and we would like to raise £230 for her to have ten more.
