As some of you will know we have set up a village mini zoo for the children to enjoy during their daily walk. The idea was set up as something fun for the children to enjoy during this difficult time, but we also wanted to raise a small amount of money for Colchester Zoo. This is somewhere that my family and I visit on a regular basis and we are all really missing it. Some of you may be aware that since having to close their doors to the public during the lockdown period they have really been struggling financially. It costs just over £25k a day to keep the zoo running and it is at great danger of closing permanently. If they were to close permanently I’m sure this would be sad for many of us and our families.
