Story

**UPDATE: 14 March 2022 We can't thank everyone enough for the incredible generosity that has been shown to us. My mother and grandmother arrived at Heathrow on Saturday morning - it was an incredibly emotional reunion. I am so grateful that they are here with me now. It will take them some time to get settled and recover from their ordeal, but thanks to the incredible JBD they temporarily have a 2 bed flat to stay in. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and kindness.

*UPDATE: Thank you so much for your incredible support - we are totally overwhelmed by everyone's kindness. Any additional money raised will help rebuild their lives as they’re arriving with literally nothing but their handbags*

This is my Mum, Grandma and their cat, who have all had to flee their home in eastern Ukraine with only the clothes that they were wearing and the few items that they could carry.

Thankfully all three are now in Warsaw at a refugee facility, and my husband has arrived to be with them.

Frustratingly they are facing delays getting visas to the UK as we hear many others are too.

Grandma is in her 90s and disabled. Both her and Mum are extremely exhausted, anxious and traumatised. Other family members are still in Ukraine.

We are desperate for them to be with us. We really need your help to buy flights for them to London. They will also need clothes and belongings as they had to leave everything behind when they had to flee their home.

We welcome any other help too. If you think you can speed up visas to UK please please get in touch.

Thank you so much in advance for your help. xx
