I've raised £1300 to Halloween fundraiser for Maggies Newcastle, Charlie Bear for Cancer Care and Solan Connor Cancer Trust

I will be decorating our house for Halloween again this year and providing gift bags for all little visitors. This year though I will be hoping to raise money for a number of cancer charities.
The house will have a variety of lights, projections and decorations and each child with a costume will recieve a goody bag with sweets, toys, balloons and a glow stick.
Story behind the fund raising
My wife Karen has been fighting cancer since May 2019 and has undergone various treatments Including chemotherapy, radiotherapy and CAR-T treatment. Unfortunately, despite all of this, the cancer has returned within the last few weeks and we are now having to face an uncertain future.
Throughout this, we have received some incredible support from everyone that has helped us get through each day as the emotional strain we have been through has been extremely tough.
We want to raise awareness and funds for three of the amazing charities that have provided us with so much support.
Maggies Centre in Newcastle - This charity offers advice and support for people with cancer and their families. They provide a safe and friendly environment for families to sit and relax while offering support.
Solan Connor Trust in Spennymoor - This family run charity provide incredible support to families impacted by cancer. They help with food parcels, days out, support and advice for families in County Durham.
Charlie Bear for Cancer Care - Based within the Northern Centre for Cancer in the Freeman Hospital, this charity raises money for patients undergoing treatment.
All monies raised will be split between these three charities.
