Ruby-Mae is 6 and was diagnosed with type1 diabetes in March 2013, she unfortunately has had an awful time which resulted in heart attack like symptoms last year, on average she has between 12- 15 blood test a day, fortunately she is now on the insulin pump which has helped but we are still needing to get up through the night to do blood tests as she is so unstable. The monitor takes continuous blood sugar tests through a cannula which is inserted in her tummy. The information is then fed back to us via our phones and an alarm will sound if her blood sugar goes to a dangerous level.
