We are trying to raise the funds needed to buy Maddison a wheelchair that's going to suit her needs and abilities better than the one she's been given!

The past 2 months have been rough for Maddison.

Out of nowhere she collapsed and was unable to walk. After many scans and tests we found out she had a rare form of tumour on her spine (thankfully its benign) but it had grown big enough that the pressure of it broke one of her vertebrae and caused damage to her spinal cord.

Maddison had to got for emergency surgery to stabilise her spine and remove as much of the tumour as possible. She recovered well and was starting to get confidence in getting about in her wheelchair and transferring in and out of it on her own. Unfortunately 6weeks post op she woke up paralysed from the ribs down again! The tumour was aggressive in nature and had grown back! She had to go for a second op to remove more of the tumour (unfortunately cant remove it all without causing further damage to the spinal cord) there is a treatment plan in place to try shrink it with medication!

We are eager to get Maddison back to everyday life and want her life to change as little as possible in terms of what limits are put on her!

Maddison struggles with the wheel she's been given as its heavy and bulky for her! After trying some others she's found one she'd be able to use independently and confidently without struggling up or down hills, or bumps! She's be able to go out with friends without asking them to push her. She would also still be able to do the walks and treks we would normally do without worrying about grass, gravel or inclines.

We are holding and event at Viking power and strength on 26th June to raise some money!

STRONGMEN GET WAXED!

We have 20+ strongmen coming alone to get waxed! Arms, legs, back, chest, brows….where eve else the waxing ladies dare venture haha!

We will continue holdings different events until we have enough!

Maddison's life has changed dramatically and very quickly. We just want to make sure she has the best going forward!
