Story
Hi Everyone,
As part of our Social Work Degree at De Montfort University, we are being given the amazing opportunity to visit The Gambia and volunteer in our relevant field.
We are hoping to raise funds to go towards a Library, which is being built in partnership with DMU Global Hands UK, in the village of Manduar.
Whilst The Gambia is forward thinking in many aspects, there are still some daily violations of peoples basic human rights that happen. By helping to educate the people of The Gambia we can hope to eradicate this.
To raise these funds we are asking that you sponsor us to partake in a 5k obstacle course on 17th December 2016. We'll be getting mucky and covered in mud whilst trying to tackle obstacles in the freezing cold! All whilst dressed as Santa!!! (http://www.muckyraces.co.uk/santa-scramble)
Please sponsor us and in turn support people of The Gambia.
Any donations, however big or small, are gratefully received :)
We'll post picture of us covered in mud, dressed as Santa's, once we have done the race.
Thanks everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxx
