I have been in Girl Guiding since I was 5 years old as a Rainbow, Brownie, Guide, Ranger, Young leader and now as the unit leader at 5th Eastham Brownies and leader at 4rd Bromborough Guides. In August 2016, I was selected to be a part of the UK contingent participant for World Scout Moot in Iceland in 2017. I have been very fortunate to be accepted to represent Girl Guiding UK at this event which will be exciting and a fantastic opportunity. I will be joining 5000 young scouts and girl guides from all over the world for an amazing 9 days in Iceland. The overall cost of this international camp is £1700, which I am fundraising for.

I have been fundraising since September in my brownie, guide and ranger units, I have ran Icelandic themed nights to give my girls an understanding of what I will be doing in Iceland. My fundraising so far includes Name the scarecrow, How many jelly beans are in the jar, Christmas chocolate raffle, snowman Soups and a quiz night planned for March/April 2017.

Once I have returned from world scout moot I am hoping that my experience will inspire other young guides to take part in international camps and to have an experience of a life time similar to me.
