    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

With the excitement of Christmas just around the corner, we all hit the shops and splurge out on expensive gifts, parties and food and drink in preparation for the festive season with all our beloved family and friends. After all it is the season to be Jolly ...

    Or is it ?

while many of us will be lucky enough to wake up Christmas morning in a warm comfortable bed eagerly anticipating rushing down stairs to unwrap our gifts and devour our Christmas dinner and raid the chocolate box till we are stuffed to bursting point. There are many unfortunate people who don't have this luxury !

Recently whilst browsing around the streets of Liverpool and surrounding areas my eyes have been opened to a large amount of cold wet doorways filled with homeless people and there few belongings begging on the streets for food and money. Last year a few days before Christmas I witnessed two young teen girls go into an outdoor shop and buy a homeless gentlemen a sleeping bag, this truly moved me and since then i have vowed that this year round i was not just going to be a spectator to other peoples generosity i wanted to do something. The Liverpool echo reported that rough sleeping was at its highest last year and that its not just cold weather and lack of food they have to face it was reported they encountered acts of violence too and even doorways blocked giving them lack of shelter . Sadly from what i have witnessed not much has changed.

So what can we do to help ?

On the 23rd and 24th December i will be going into Liverpool and providing as many homeless people with a warm meal and hot drink from the donations made by you. I myself will be selling Christmas eve boxes from my business page KITTY & REX and for every one bought i will donate £1. I am also asking for any old and unused coats, scarves, gloves and hats along with any sleeping bags and blankets to be donated to help provide as much warmth as possible for those on the streets.
