I'm raising £2000 to Help Thaer Secure His Place at King's College London

Story

Before the genocide in Gaza, Thaer was a successful entrepreneur who owned a perfume and gift shop. Today, he has lost everything including his home, his business, and his livelihood, and is living in a tent.

Despite these unimaginable circumstances, Thaer has been offered a place on the MSc Public Health programme at King's College London. His dream is to use this education to help rebuild Gaza's public health system and support communities recovering from conflict.

Thaer applied for King's Sanctuary Scholarship, which would have covered his tuition fees and living costs. Unfortunately, due to the high number of applications and competition, he was unsuccessful. He also asked King's College London to waive his tuition fees in light of his circumstances, but this request was declined.

To secure his place, Thaer must pay a £2,000 tuition deposit by 1 August. Without it, he risks losing this opportunity altogether. This fundraiser is dedicated to raising that deposit. While it will not cover the full cost of his studies, it will ensure he can accept his offer while we continue seeking other sources of financial support.

We're calling on everyone who stands in solidarity with Palestine to help us reach this goal. Every donation, no matter how small, brings Thaer one step closer to beginning his studies. If you're unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your family, friends, and networks would make an enormous difference.

By supporting Thaer, you're not only helping one student pursue his education, you are investing in someone committed to using his knowledge to help rebuild his community.

Thank you for your generosity and solidarity.
