I've raised £500 to continue to provide the best service possible to our befriending clients who are alone, elderly, isolated and vulnerable.

Hello
I work for a fantastic charity called Croydon Neighbourhood Care Association. CNCA run a complex befriending service for elderly, isolated and frail people throughout the borough of Croydon. Our clients often have no next of kin, have been victims of crime and some are reliant on carers.
Over the Covid-19 period, we have had to put our befriending face-to-face visits on hold. Our service is currently running with more regular telephone calls but the clients have really missed not being able to see our befrienders. They have often felt even more alone and, with so much uncertainty, it’s been a frightening time for them too.
We initially asked for donations for our festive gift boxes which were delivered before Christmas. They were incredibly well received and we are truly thankful to all that donated. The photos displayed are from some of our happy clients. Here is some feedback from the too:
We would love to provide our clients with more joy during the year - a box of chocolates, a plant or a book would be such a pick me up for them. When we are able to we plan to hold an afternoon party for them with singing, bingo and cream teas.
Any amount you are able to donate would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.
