The handsome man in the photo is Ed, the man I got to call my grandad for 26 years. He was a succesful, loving, caring, family man who adored life but struggled mentally, sadly on 27th April 2024 due to mental health issues he took his own life.

Ed took exercise when he was struggling, that was his release, his coping mechanism! On the 25th April I applied for the next years London marathon, I couldn't wait to tell grandad that I may be running in London next year…. I never got to have that conversation with him.

Today I got the news I have been waiting for… I have a place in The London marathon 2025! This will be held on his one year anniversary of his death, 27th April 2025.

I will be running to raise money and awareness for the chairty Mind.

I pray the money raised will save and help someone else's grandad or loved ones who suffer with mental health.
