Story

Hi, my name’s Paul and I’m a recovering addict. This year, I’m taking on the Bournemouth Half Marathon to raise money for a charity that’s very close to my heart: Harbour of Hope Housing.

Harbour of Hope is a local charity that supports people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, and struggling with addiction. They provide safe, secure accommodation and the right support to help people rebuild their lives and stay on the path to recovery.

Over 5 years ago, I was given the chance to live in supported housing, and I truly believe it was the anchor that kept me steady in my own recovery journey. Thanks to that support, today I’m living a life beyond my wildest dreams.

Now, I want to give back—so that others can have the same opportunity to find hope, stability, and a brighter future.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Thank you so much for your support.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, I will withdraw funds directly. It's the most efficient way to donate and saves time and costs.
