Our name is Community Care Foundation The Gambia.
Our aim is to build a community centre in Talingding, a povertised area of The Gambia. The focus of the community centre will be to provide breakfast and dinner to the children and elderly of Talingding who often go without food or survive the day on very little. The children in the community that are lucky enough to attend school (many of the children don't attend) often start the day with empty stomachs, and many of the children and the elderly survive most days on one small meal . The community centre will become the hub of Talingding where people can meet, where their needs can be assessed and hopefully met, be that clothing, school uniforms, school equipment, disability aids and eventually helping to get as many children in Talingding as possible into school. We are asking for your help and appreciate any donation you feel able to give. We would love you to be a part of this project and will make regular updates of our work and photos to show where your money has been used.
