What is crowdfunding?

Story
In my town (Tunbridge wells, England) there are many children who do not have a lot of of money or even the opportunity to earn it! They also like riding scooters which is very popular. Scooter parts are very expensive but if you look hard enough you can get them really cheap. I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!
