Portobello Rugby Club recently partnered with a local charity called Let's Talk - Young People who have set up shop within the Craigmillar area of Edinburgh, just a stone's throw away from the rugby club. They offer services to support young people and help them improve their emotional and mental health. As a rugby club we also strive to promote physical and mental wellbeing in young people, as well as adults, and so it made sense to me, knowing I was going to get rid of my luscious locks, that I would do it to support this new partnership and further our goals together. I also intend to donate the hair that's cut to the Little Princess Trust. They are a charity that provides real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. Finally, I have found a local hairdresser in Portobello who have agreed to assist me in cutting my hair in aid of this fundraising opportunity. They are Romeo Juliet Hair Lounge and they will be sending one of their lovely staff members to help me clean up my look.
